On Friday 10th June we will celebrate the learning of our Year 9 students with an exhibition of their work in geography and art on the Lausanne 2020 sustainable urbanism project.
Students were set a challenge: create a campaign team to propose an urban redevelopment plan for the city of Lausanne in preparation for Lausanne 2020, making this the most sustainable WYOG games ever!
In teams, students set to work choosing the most sustainable locations for the:
- Olympic stadium
- Olympic village
- Ice sports venues
They had to produce:
- Team poster
- Brochure explaining their choices
- Short marketing video
We will present our work to the community on Friday 10th June.
Parents, teachers, the Direction and special guests from the IOC, YOG and Lausanne 2020 will be present in the cafeteria. Please come and join us in celebrating our students' work.
We look forward to seeing you there.
